Walkers are needed!

Mark Your Calendar!

It’s Time to Walk!

The CROP Walk is Sunday, March 20th!

Are you asking “What is a CROP Walk?”

CROP stands for

Communities Responding to Overcome Poverty.

Did you know approximately 871 million people in the world do not have enough to eat? 783 million people do not have access to clean water.  The CROP Hunger Walks help to provide food and water as well as resources that empower people to meet their own needs.  Most of the funds raised by the walk are used for international relief and development but twenty-five percent (25%) of the money donated is returned to some of our local food assistance programs such as The Second Harvest Food Bank and Hot Meals Program of Calvary Presbyterian as well as others.

Magnolia has been a participant in this event for many years.  Last year, we collected $1999.00 and had a total of 18 walkers.  We would like to increase the number of walkers representing Magnolia this year.   Please consider participating in this worthy event either by being a walker or by sponsoring a walker.

Parking this year will not be at Temple Beth El, but at Poly High School across the street.
